El Camino Sept 2023 – review
This was our first venture as a group tour to Spain and it did not disappoint!
16 cars headed to drive some of the best roads in the Pyrenees… taking the ferry from Portsmouth to Santander and then a beautifully curated route weaving through the mountains to Andorra, across 8 days.
The cars ranged from performance cars including a VW Golf R and Audi TTS, through sports cars: Porsche Boxster, Caymans and 911s, Alpine A110, a beautiful Corvette C8 Stingray that had people staring everywhere we went as they had no idea what it was, maybe the ultimate GT car… an Aston Martin DBS Superleggera Volante, through to supercars including a Porsche 911 GT3RS, Ferrari F430, Mclaren 600LT and Ferrari F8.
Once again we attracted a superb mix of people, all on the same wavelength of fun, fast road driving, and embracing adventure.
The driving was a mix of twisty mountain sections and open sweeping roads, that for the most were very, very quiet… all set to a stunning backdrop be that open countryside or beautiful Spanish villages to stop in for refreshments and lunch breaks.
Fuel was burnt, food eaten, drinks consumed, frowns and smiles were expressed, new friends were made and good times were had.
