Highland Fling, May 2025 – REVIEW
Our Highland Fling Road Trip to Scotland was a sell-out once again, with 25 cars taking part in this Scottish Driving Tour in 2025.
We were treated to four days of wall-to-wall sunshine — a rare but very welcome treat in Scotland — which made this event something truly special. With dry roads and clear skies from start to finish, the eclectic mix of cars (and their equally varied owners) had the perfect conditions to enjoy some of the best driving roads Scotland has to offer.
The scenery, as always, was jaw-dropping, and the roads served as a powerful reminder of why we love driving in the first place. It’s becoming increasingly difficult to find routes that aren’t choked with traffic, but despite Scotland’s growing popularity as a holiday destination, it’s still possible to enjoy uninterrupted drives — if you know where to go.
And lucky for you… we do.
This was, without doubt, the most eclectic mix of cars we’ve ever had on a tour — and it made for an unforgettable few days on the road.
From hot hatches to supercars, the line-up had something for everyone. Toyota was out in force with a Yaris GR, GR86, and a Supra, while Honda brought serious VTEC energy with not one, but two Civic Type Rs. BMW fans were spoilt for choice with an M2 (make that two), M4, and the striking i8 Roadster.
Porsche enthusiasts had a field day, with a stunning spread including the 911 4 GTS, 911 Turbo S, 992 GTS, 991 GT3, Cayman GT4, Cayman GTS, and a Boxster T — a proper feast for fans of Stuttgart’s finest.
We had a Mini GP2, a VW Golf GTD, and a Chrysler Crossfire keeping things interesting, while Mercedes-Benz turned up the volume with a muscular C63. Add to that a pair of McLarens — the 600LT and 570S — plus a Jaguar F-Type P450, a Nissan R35 GTR, and a Range Rover HSE for good measure, and you’ve got an absolutely wild spectrum of automotive flavour.
Whatever your taste, this group had it covered — and then some.
A MASSIVE thank you goes out from us to everyone who came on the event. If you like the look of this trip we’re doing it again in May 2026.
