high octane, June 2025 – review
Early on a Sunday morning we took off for 7 days of automotive fun in the shape of our High Octane European Road Trip. France, Germany, Italy and Switzerland were all on the agenda as we worked our way through the meticulously planned route.
Switzerland was stunning as usual, providing much entertainment on the beautiful roads – our eclectic mix of cars all excelled in their own way including… a 911 GT3 Touring and GT3 RS, 2 x Cayman GT4s, Audi S4, BMW M3 Competition, a lovely BMW Z4M * Ferrari F430 (great to see both being used as intended), an Aston Martin DBS Superleggera and a Cupra Ateca.
In all honesty it really doesn’t matter what you’re driving, especially when you hit the delights of the Swiss Alps, hours and hours of driving nirvana.
During the week we encounter a truly epic electrical storm in the Swiss Alps. If you had RWD it was challenging, FWD or AWD… you were in your element. It made for many stories to tell.
All of a sudden we were heading through Germany, some via the Black Forest, some on the Autobahn, for the final night dinner and drinks, Bavarian style.
Fuel was burnt, food eaten, drinks consumed, frowns and smiles were expressed, new friends were made and good times were had.
If you like what you see then check out our Road Trips for 2026 – join us, we insist!
