This event leaves from Plymouth on the Sunday evening, make sure you’re on time because the boat won’t wait for you 🙂
Arriving in Spain late-afternoon on the Monday it’s a scenic couple of hours across to our first night hotel in the Parque Natural Montaña Palentina. After a refreshing nights sleep, and breakfast, it’s time to strap yourselves in for 7 days of the best driving roads through the Picos Mountains and Serra de Estrela, with overnight stops at different locations, and some truly stunning scenery.
After a solid week of driving nirvana it’s time to head back to Santander for the ferry on the Monday evening, with you landing back in the UK late-afternoon on Tuesday.

The Roads
The roads are very well kept and generally empty, the weather is pretty much warm and dry, and the scenery is almost as good as the driving.
The Hotels
Overnight cabin accommodation is also included for 2 nights (1 each way) on the return ferry.
The Cars
The Ferry arrives in Santander late afternoon – from here we head west towards the Picos, taking cross-country roads to ease you in, heading to your first overnight stay in the countryside.
There is a welcome dinner that evening for everyone.
After breakfast we fire up the cars and head in to the Picos Mountains for a full day on the best mountain passes in the area.
Technical sections full of twist and turns prevail, as we pass through picturesque towns and villages on the way to the next overnight stay at a 5* hotel in the heart of Leon, with dinner included.
Today we take on some true fast road driving as the roads open up in front of you throughout the day – smooth tarmac, sweeping bends and very little traffic make for a terrific day behind the wheel of your car.
Tonight’s stay is out in the countryside – it’s a beautiful 5* hotel, with dinner included in the grand dining room.
More highlight roads await you today – it’s all about the fast, sweeping bends. You’ll be in the zone all day as we head to Portugal for 2 nights where we will be staying in a beautiful 4* spa hotel – Dinner is included tonight.
Day 5 offers the chance to take things slower. The hotel is an ideal place to relax and enjoy on the water with its swimming pools, saunas, Turkish baths, hot tubs, etc.
OR join us (and you really should) for another day of epic roads – we’re heading to the Serra da Estrela, an absolute highlight of the trip for the driving enthusiasts. You’ll still be back in time to enjoy the pool and sauna, before dinner.
We leave the Portugal behind and head north… our carefully curated route takes us cross-country on fast flowing roads as we head to another beautiful 5* hotel that will be your base for the final 2 x evenings – again dinner is included.
Today is the last full-day of driving. We’ll weave cross country, in to the hills, through valleys and across plains, as we head back to the 5* hotel for a final night group dinner.
We’re hading back to Santander to catch the late-afternoon Ferry, but not before we’ve packed in some final cross-country roads to get your final fix of fast-road driving.
The 8 days you see here are the days we’re driving. There’s a day on the Ferry each way that ‘tops and tails’ the driving. You’ll be in an outside Club Class cabin for these 2 x journeys.

Slap Adventures is an Driving Tour where like minded couples and friends drive their cars through beautiful scenery, on some of the best driving roads. With ages from “you’re old enough to have a license?” to “you’ve still got a license?” we attract people from all walks of life. Our events are typically made up of 40-50% couples, then a mix of friends, and solo drivers.
At the event registration we give you a commercially printed tour booklet (as part of your welcome pack) with a suggested route for each day – there is a map, QR codes to scan that link to Google Maps (broken down in to 3-4 sections for each day) along with pre-programmed satnavs.
There is a lead car you can follow or you are free to take the day at your own pace, and take a different route should you choose.
Catch up every evening in quality hotels to eat, drink and tell tales of your adventures – each day will be a different driving and social experience. Our events are very relaxed (no black tie / evening gowns required) with 1 – 2 evenings of ‘smart casual’ required, otherwise it’s wear what you are comfortable in.
Whilst we generally attract performance cars and supercars on our driving tours all makes, types and age of vehicles are welcome on our road trips.
