We co-hosted a driving event with Queen Square Breakfast Club.
A 7.30am start on a bank holiday Sunday morning in Bristol was well worth it. We were at the Queen Square, the starting point to our one day road rally which we put on at the invitation of Queen Square Breakfast Club. With the sun shining down the cars started to arrive for registration, a breakfast sandwich and a coffee, and a look round at all the cars before we headed off for the drive. With some 30+ cars on the event there was a bit of something for everyone, ranging from a Peugeot 205 GTi and Toyota GT86 through to a Mclaren 650s and Ferrari 458 – with pretty much everything else in-between. We headed out of Bristol for the Brecon Beacon, an area of outstanding natural beauty and also the home of a great road where you can get a really nice flow on behind the wheel. With route maps in hand the cars drove through the countryside taking in a mix of roads before ending up at the final destination, the Three Countries Showground in Malvern, as the guests of Morgan Motor Company, who just happened to be having a bit of a
spiffing garden party. Picnics, prosecco (or cider if you preferred), the English Symphony Orchestra and a super firework display was a fitting end to a great day our driving. Thanks to
Nick Fox TV for the video.
